Chivalry’s GraveA Poem by Sirius KingShe’s not used to the things that I do Accustom to the familiar feeling of falling in love… Then being used…The same thing she expected me to do I'm confused... She takes a complement as an insult Sincerity and sentiment gets a negative result And when she is in a bad mood, it’s automatically my fault I’m torn…Between a woman scorn…and walking out of the door She says she wants more…But I don’t think she’s ready Stuck in the past…We are not going to last Unless she unloads this luggage she carries Seems like our future together has already been buried Preventing me permission to love her Because of the pain provided by another But I realize it’s not me… Even if I change the way I behave… She’ll still be standing over an empty grave No hope of being saved
Mourning love…in her own head Blind- not seeing the bigger picture That if Chivalry is Dead She’s the one that pulled the trigger © 2012 Sirius KingAuthor's Note
