mmmm such sweet warmth

Homage to a Morning Sun

I Wake before the morning sun

The smell of you still lingers on me

as I slip quietly from beneath the covers

forcing myself to sever such sweet soft warmth

yet the suttle feel of flesh lacks the fire needed

so I seek to bath in the creator of it's desires directly

as I tread softly and quietly upon bare floors

heading toward the door, I can already feel him

long before I am enveloped in his warm embrace

he stands majesticly peeking over mountains I know

fiercly searching for me with longing loving eyes

as I shiver here in the dark for lack of his heat

so I hasten not my pace to be fully embraced

and throw back the barrier between us

to stand tall in the eyes of my lover

he embraces me with such fiery warmth

that I am lost in the ecstacy of this moment

hold me now oh bright morning star

hold me now and forever

for I am yours

always.

When I read this poem, I think majestic, your use of details really sets this one off. It's like when you first stretch in the morning, your in the momentary bliss and you hold it for as long as you can.

"yet the suttle feel of flesh lacks the fire needed" that line is brilliant! Such a creative way of expressing your love of mornings, great job!

This is refreshing with a beautiful flow to it, very dream like and some great lines that put your reader into this vivid picture you penned. Very nice work.
