Shadow of AliceA Poem by Black Rose SeraphimA bit more twisted take on the Wonderland, from the View of Alice's shadow.God bless the precious tiger lily, who receives his winding woes. And purge the griffin's weeping, in this quixotisential prose.
And doth the bleeding butterfly, drink the rainbow colored words? To call the anger and the force of the mushrooms and the birds.
Do you dare me to delight, within the drollness of my sleep? I dread the spiteful doppelganger, who dares to count my sheep.
And who will help the crocodile to shine his many scales? Not I, for I am weeping for the peacocks without tales.
Sentimental, argumental, I see them through all eyes. Instead of dreams, disbar the truth and whittle away the lies.
A pack of cards, a fated hand, two pair and a royal flush. The ace of spades and Queen of hearts can kill you with a touch.
With eyes as red as carmine, and lips as black as coal, if I whisper very quietly, Alice never has to know.
