Face

Face

A Poem by B. S. O.
"

I wrote this while flying down to see my boyfriend and I needed to share with him how I felt. He was my home and I was his. It was a sincere poem from the heart so I wanted to share it.

"

FACE

Nightly whispers
Put me at ease
After your “I love you’s”
I soon fall asleep

Missing your sounds
Noticed most in moon light
Cuddling in fetus style
As you embrace me at night

Over clouds I now ride,
To see your face
And act like we did
Those fun days when we first met.

You are my calm
During my moods,
Which come out like storms,
My light when I’m lost in emotions.

We clash like waves
And have comfortable silence when bored
At the end when it counts
For each other we are home.

The remembrance of things past sometimes brings solace. You did an excellent job conveying how the narrator misses her lover. You didn't tell, you rather showed us. I tried to tackle the same theme in THE PASSING ANGEL. I liked how your poem flowed. Your use of punctuation is not consistent throughout the poem. Sometimes you use it, some other times you don't. I enjoyed reading your poem. Brilliantly written. Bravo.

You are my calm
During my moods

hmm...I might have to borrow that line some time. (smile)

Nice poem, it screams out virtue for me.
