Recidivism

Recidivism

A Poem by B. S. O.
"

i wrote this while out in Bear Mountain on a cold January night while exploring nature with my lover. I was so taken by the view of the scenery in the light of the moon. It was a peaceful moment that made me reflect and to indulge in reminiscence.

"

Recidivism

At the last quarter moon I gaze
I start to remember
It all comes back to me like a poetic phrase
Recalling how through the trees we wandered.
And to reminisce on that night,
On that short journey which took us far
Taking me back to what was good
Like my lasting vision of that falling star.
I’m not like others to recollect on impurities
That’ll revive sad emotions, that will surely make you fall;
Instead I recap on thoughts that retrieve my smiles
For I get fulfilled by capturing the innocence of it all.
