No Book in My HandA Poem by BlackroseA poem written for the For The Fallen contest, Ill prbly write another tho :P About my original experience of spetember 11th while stationed all the way overseas, hoepfuly its touching in its own way, I may make a second part about now though :) And howSitting at a wooden desk Listening to this and that Suddenly a word hit my brain A chord was stricken, of sudden surprise, A tale of death, Was it the truth? Were the fires still there? Burning alive with naught a care? I looked at the screen, But did not understand. Why people looked away, bibles in their hands. Why a moment of silence, Was asked to be had. For I was but a girl of ten years back then, Just sitting in school, No book in my hand. © 2009 BlackroseAuthor's Note
