Shopping ListA Poem by Shawn PfisterA light-hearted feminist poem.I do not buy magazines That tell me I need to diet, Exercise more, Lose weight quickly To look better in a bikini.
I do not buy Cosmo, That tells me what to do in bed, To please my man, To keep him. Maxim tells him how to please him. I do not buy Maxim.
I do not buy Maybeline, Revlon, Mary Kay. I do not need concealer, I have nothing to hide.
I do not buy the hate, The insecurities, The pain. I cannot afford them.
I do not buy Taylor Swift, Who is pathetic, And lonely And desperate. I do buy Bruno Mars. He thinks I'm amazing Just the way I am.
