I love the way you messed up my topography

for any other traveler

how your finger paints remain in sensual hues

on the inside of my hip bones

the sound of whispering seduction

still traces the curves of my pointy ears

which were ever an endless source

of amusement

for you

I love the way you rebuilt my continental divide

for yourself

how you brought me to the clouds in a rainbow arch

curved spine

my fingertips discovering their grooves

in your shoulder blades

while your rain found the puddles of my mud

gave my foundation

wine

from fountains in the vinyards of your personal memory

I love the way you peeled back my landscape

just enough to bury yourself

deep enough

where the memory feels like dreaming

the mornings feel like a kiss

and the nights birth the ghosts from my bones

to take the colors you buried in my hips

just for these celebrations

where I light a candle

and strip my senses to the naked skin

in festival

for the intimate memory of you

dreaming itself through my spine

at autumn moon
