First of all, Tesla was a very intriguing character. Wound around your surreal ladybug fluttering the shimmering is positively electric. This is a little off your normal path, a path less followed, but a necessary and riveting path. The contrast of the ladybug to Tesla's death ray is fascinating. Man is the only animal that seems to delight in bringing down his fellow man and in great numbers. Law of the jungle is more merciful than law of man.
Nikola was genius , a man whose ideas spread across the spectrum . Much like Galileo An inventor whose ideas were beyond the technology of the day . an underated Mathematician , a Physcist that has others still chasing his lead and notably - a Philosopher. not many know he was a Poet or that Mark Twain was one of his few friends .
In the mind of genius , ideas are borne of introspection that lace of wonder , and in as he was one of the few who could find those blue sky puzzle pieces , he learned the nature of nature , our nature , the mind energized . His story was a sign post on my way to the creative self . something that I know you have wonderful grasp of ~
This takes the reader on a bit of a ride through the writer's glimpse at humanity. Curious though, the line "on his death bead" I assume that is supposed to be death bed? Powerful, intriguing write. Nicely done.
this is just extraordiary! i loved the way you described the journey taking us straight into your exotic dreamscape where we find Tesla and his theories, where we find death surrounding us and the poet wrapped up in these things like a silk scarf. This is a courageous poem in what it attempts to portray and so much more than this in what it achieves.
Hmmm... you do make me wonder know how Tesla would feel about the advancements of technology and how they have not only helped mankind but hurt us as well... a very intriguing write.
Your opening lines are human art. You paint with brush strokes that open on another mental adventure entailing such damn fantastic detail, sometimes I'm thinking to myself "I wonder it this woman knows the secret of . . . ." Don't worry, gorgeous, your secret is safe with me. Meanwhile, keep filling the world with magik, just make sure you keep a few ladybugs on your suitcase for yourself so you can get back home when the time comes.
Kelly said it, "Only a person as brilliant as you would jump into the mind of a scientist & place yourself sitting next to him as he died. "
Tesla would surely pull the plug on the modern day ideals. Can you imagine his horror seeing the way we have misused and overused his brilliant sparks. You drew in the science & history nerd part of me out. Only a person as brilliant as you would jump into the mind of a scientist & place yourself sitting next to him as he died.
The mood set with the electrical fantasia was... utterly awesome. Within a few seconds of my irises absorbing the last line I wanted to scream "Holy S**t!" with some amazed joy and favorite the piece... Which, of course, I did. Your characters and verses were so inspiring. I can't quite feel my mind, it's all shocked numb with the aesthetics of dim wires, malleable lightning and clouded hotels. So damn beautiful: my envy, Selene, belongs to you. 100/100
