Wild Things~

Wild Things~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

from some of us

they are desperate to extract the wild

to suck the stories from under our tongue

sugarglaze our wounds

bandage the weeping captivation of a midnight audience

for we bleed better than any other

us wild orbits

who hide the wolf in the aorta

and the scream of a horse over a canyon wall

under the paper thin exuberance of a rib

and the forest

yes

the forest of a thousand grimm tails

are baked in every roll

filled with the jam we stole from the witch’s windowsill

and secreted away inside the dreams of Briar Rose;

wild things are hidden

every where

and they

are

beautiful

don’t anyone

ever

tell you elsewise

You know, when I first started reading your writings I tried to approach your poetry from a critical point of view. I learned immediately that was impossible. You involve all the senses, but especially the human heart. Your ability to draw an emotional response to words, and how they are placed and treated, is unmatched. I've read a lot of classics, a lot of beat and modern poetry, and you, you Selene Skye, stand on your own as the most unique voice to reinterpret not just what poetry is, but what language is an how we relate to it.
One day, I have no doubt, you will be an icon. To many of us, you already are.
You speak to the wild nature in all of us, you speak to our origins, and reawaken something essential to our components as human beings. Like Lily said, you are magic.

When we let our feelings fester inside they eventually overfill our emotions till we explode, many times hurting innocent loved ones. A very wickedly intense piece of writing.

I see rainbows from blood in the path of the kindred sun...

This one has a hell of a bite, girlfriend. Everything that everyone else said before us. And oh my god, the picture. You just get more stunning every day. (We still think you're a vampire. (;)
Love you!

Can I say anything that hasn't already been written...nah not really unless I drift into stealing pies from windowsills too..... :)

We need to go back to the time when fairy tales did not always have happy endings (and so, life) back when they were indeed Grimm (love the double meaning!) when they actually MEANT something instead of being some mass produced sugar coated fricken drivel. Take us there selene. I can hear the wolf in the distance, calling all to arms. Overthrow the Disney/media cotton candy machine!

You sure know how to captivate the deeper, primal being in all of us. You, my friend, find the beauty in true beauty that others will never be fortunate enough to see. You are myth incarnate, reminding all of us through your original gift of what we are.

You are magic. Your beautiful mind, even your beautiful face is the stuff of legends.

The raw reality of our beings is so much to be preferred to the artificial Disneyworld of the message boys... Let the briar rose prick us, and if we are pricked, shall we not bleed?
