Blessed Be The Mess Of Me~

Blessed Be The Mess Of Me~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
"

this is your brain~this is your brain high on rhythmic language~oy vey! =)~

"

From the jaded tower

girl of jade devoured

honey, mead, and lies and jewels

while she feigned at being fooled

by a fool, a jester red

before the Dragon’s senescence

peeling scales and gripping teeth

through a juniper and berry wreath

slide through

glide through

braids cast over

for a mad girl  men called Clover

while the knight in armor gray

look confused, called it a day

on a steed he trotted off

away from princess in belle jar

tweaking symbols til they slipped

from the pages in her grip

scattered story

bled in glory

am I not the perfect quarry?

well then listen, lean in close

juxtaposed

with rhythm cymbals clashing fair

apart a maiden in her flair

stain the forehead

smudge the lips

grab the fairy by her hips

as Rapunzel goes about

tending days of evil sprouts

water

feed

and tip toward son

galvanized

tipsy on rum

spinning

dervish

toy top

boy swap

undernourished

buried in a hatters mad

she’s a wild child, he’s a cad

how did we get from there

to here

neural pops in disrepair

conflagration

brainstem

next stop! cerebellum deviations

running

sunning every cell

against the trunk

of oak I swell

pull the wing threads from my spine

recline me deep in his old side

hear me

see me

crush me

free me

bind me to the prayer wheel

oh!

blessed be

the mess of me!

I'd love to roll around in your mind, but somehow I think there's a whole lot of sharp stuff hidden under all these gourmet poetic petite fours. You knocked it out of the ball park and straight into space with this incredible craziness. Actually what you've done is open the door wide as hell to other writers to chew through their own preconceptions about what rhyme is.

What rhythm! I found myself reading faster and faster until my head was spinning..."how did we get from there to here" indeed. Wonderful...I'm going to read it again, and try to hold myself back, you words call for swiftness and I obeyed. Such great fun!

Oh, the blessed me to be able to read you, to call you friend! I love the music of your genius mind inside the orchestration of your words, the language which surpasses beauty and melts on my tongue with sublime sharpness!

I especially loved...sunning every cell...against the trunk of oak I swell. And most of all I loved...bind me to the prayer wheel. This poem seems sad with cryptic messages...it conjured up thoughts of someone who is trapped in the wrong body for some reason. Each line you write is a meditative journey all of its own. As always...with your work...a privilege to read and rewarding me with a journey to the heights. Thanks. You have a truly beautiful mind.

I can't begin to tell you how much I liked this particular piece and how I have studied it ....your words dance across the page and cascade like flowing waters and thoughts, one tumbling into the next so seemingly effortless~ you make writing look like a piece of magical cake~AmaZZinG!

Only one way to read this: fast and breathless.

I would say, this is a showcase of your superb grasp on the subtleties and possibilities of language. Your effortless ability to interchange parts of grammar and still deliver not just a comprehensive but primo composition is the cat's meow, and a rare talent.

Quite the fantastical gurgle of imagery in the beginning, as always.
I did enjoy the symbolic beginning more than the truthful, self-spoken end, but still, the piece was utterly delicious with every prod and poke I gave it.
