The Lonely Poem~

The Lonely Poem~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
"

Above the paper

hovering

a thousand curves and lines;

the poet

takes a  bullet in metaphors

her ink

splatters

drips down a picture frame

a coroner’s Rorschach

Above the paper

hovering

an onyx moth

her dusky dust

molting

in candle light

The Lonely poem

folds her corners

once

thrice

over

flip

once more

now;

a recycled poem

into

an origami swan

in skye blue

Your sumptuous gossamer poetic striptease takes my breath away. How you intermingle tragedy and sensuality is beyond me, and beyond human, to have this sort of floating affect between the mind and the soul.

This panics all on its lonesome just before it tucks itself into the hole where nothing once was.

To twist, turn, place the fragments of life and soul into something forsaken. Only to form something from nothing, a last complicated motion to forsake the desired affects of the world.

Words renewed by the spirit of the poet, take flight from what is ordinary to become extraordinary. Beautiful!

the lonely poem that unravels and undulates upon itself to twist ironically - self-consuming - a plath-esque touch - love the idea of the lonely poem! and its origami nature - the blank sheet - to swan - to speak of the transcendence of words as such -brilliantly Selene! nice!

i am head over heels in love with origami imagery. the placement here of the poet hovering over the page, taking bullets; the dripping ink, so like our own heart's blood; and the poem, as a living thing itself, lonely and full of the possibility of transformation... gorgeous.

The written word inspires and we are inspired by the written word... everything has been written about but now we all write about them from our own points of view.
