Puss In Boots With Quiver~

Puss In Boots With Quiver~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Diana pulled the arrow

tipped with gasping sparrow

from my side

poured herself into my wound

to seal my ribs divide

still, broken under glass

my pheasant

beautiful and pleasant

dainty in this rage

little hands

tightening

on the allegory of his cage

one

two

unbuckle my blues

three

four

unburden my muse

pebbles on the downhill roll

turn to boulders

the Hood loads his scroll

slashing runes into the mud

my hands plunge

dream deep

stroke the barrel of unlove

until the little girl

unfurls

memory in sheets

drying

as she bleeds

gazing at the sun

her lace corset undone

five

six

crushing soul wine from the river Styx

seven

eight

circumnavigate my pain

the holster slips

the lace in my spine trips

up the animal

fingertips press the pressure points

of a heart’s cannibal

Purr licks the wounds

in long strokes

while all the hated men plunged into one

smoke

tobacco quivers

her hips rotate in firelight

while her bone spurs shiver

nine

ten

tear

rend

here kitty

kitty

here’s some pity

you’re so pretty

pink little crush

the Dragon’s plush

toy

oh boy

your violence is so coy

mirror mirror

show me hell

behind me

his reflection swells

count from one

and up to ten

shall I gut him

or go Zen

my totem howls

under the moon

eating all the double blooms

and what I fear

is fear in girl

which will cultivate her wolf in turn

and then the Puss

the pouty girl

will shed the masks of human pearls

and then in backward

ten

through one

with jaw unhinged

there will be blood

I'm going to focus on the surreal artistry, and the mastery of a primal rhyme perspective that buries itself right in the marrow and takes the mind back to those fire and cave days intersected with a future. You seem to have no limitations when it comes to the cultivation of language. Not just the English language, but the human language of poetry, and the divine language of spirit. Your ability to mix up a brew of such a high caliber as this, incorporating rhyme and subject matter from such diverse sources is a gift you've been given that I haven't observed in anyone else. Your mind is a treasure chest. Yes, I said chest.

Readers may primp and preen eternally, comprehension of uniqueness can only be explained in the illumination that it is all you~ always has been, always will be... every ink stain, your blood...
Never will they glean again such a gift of mind with the artistry to define color before their eyes... every silken surreal web begun with a thread of your own eternal truth, beautified and molded with the strongest gentle hands created, hidden within the recesses of the only mind open to the incomprehensible...

another poem I'd missed - grr where have I been lol - or maybe I read it on facebook - I've no idea - brilliant poem - of course - you string these tales with the finest fibres - the sparrow tipped arrow and rolling pebbles - mask of human pearls - all just surreally awesome - a brocade of pearls and reflections here - bravo!

You are back again! The other day when I tried to come by, it showed your profile as being closed.

I love the way you do this Selene. The originality, flow, cadence and uniqueness of your work always ranks it beyond compare. I never tire of reading your poems, but am in constant amazement how each piece seems to progressively out-do the last.

I can only hope they decide on Zen instead of gutting him. I don't know I feel peaceful today or is it an over whelming feeling of satisfaction. I never knew there were so much going on inside of a woman, nor did I realize how society has done some damage that I don't know if it can be healed or not. My hope today is for peace and that the will of Zen wins out.

Another incredible, imaginable and highly thought out piece of writing by you. I do love how you paint women it is beautiful to me.

Surreal, yes, but this story plays out in real life all too often. An 'in your face' write, layer upon layer.
Extraordinary work, Dear Selene.

Selene your words always take me to fairly tale land, but your pieces have layers upon layers of reality hidden inside those mystic tells; for me your imagination is, well awe inspiring...

"here kitty

And he thought he was the one playing games...

Great Write!

Tommy

every time i read one of your poems i feel a caress on my soul, be it the ethereal quality or the seductive loll of the rhythm or the melting of sensuality, fantasy and violence, I do not know.
