The Mural Of Her Lovely Dovely Disorder~

The Mural Of Her Lovely Dovely Disorder~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

I think I was 2

the year I forgot to breathe

like a lovely lungy human

It was the puddle

that started it all

pushing back against the white soles

of my feet

screaming much like a viola, in incompetent hands

And my pores took over

as my lungs hiccupped, and gave up halfway through the inhale

invisible snake skin under my albino abnormality

opening scales in full notes

pulling pearls from oxygen atoms;

I became a jewelry box for future maladies

I think I was 2

the year I began to notice

that others do not notice things like I do

So off I went to Crone,

she was made from the bark of a yew

day lilies in her apron

she scryed from mother earth things

and I said, “Crone, tell me

“ why does Snow send arrows into my meat

and fillet my good manners with every flake

and what kindness have I done, that Sun would feed me such sweet rays

from its strong beams

and how is it that Horse makes perfect sense to me,

while stable Master grumbles on about how no Horse should be this complex

and why do all the village folk embroider with such spices,

and make such emotional patterns from the blink of their eyes

and on a side note, since I’m here anyway, why is the sly sky blue.”

Crone pulled a thorn from her side

placed it between my third and fourth Eye (yes there is more than three)

made talk with her leaves

as she pulled her roots to expose the dark soil of UnderLands

“Go, all your answers are sideways. But you already know that.”

and I leaped around and bent

falling into this Unfairy Tale one painful pirouette

at a Time

until my tip toes were worn to ivory bones

leaving pearl and blood drops

in ever print

across UnderLands

Scrumptious, an autobiographical peak into the nature of staggering genius. When we look at things in a way that most percieve as out of context.....we have to realize that there as many realites as there are contexts. The sideways interpretation may be the dimension that changes the world. This one is large....

Your Unfairy Tales will one day be required reading for language as well as mythology, mark my words. At the risk of sounding like a cliche, you are the modern day Homer, Dante, Milton, and I'd say Grimm Brothers but I know how you detest their watered down versions of fairy tales that no one knows better than you.

You embody 21st centurt Fairy Tales.

A extrasensory exploration of language through the senses, and of the senses through language.

“ why does Snow send arrows into my meat

from its strong beams

Yours is a voice that stands alone in the world of modern literature. You, dear Selene, are the new breed of writers. People like you bend the rules and break them as is required for cerebral enhancement and advancement.

Just beautiful, a personal tale of faerie perception, told with the delicacy remembered from childhood. When I got to these lines I felt the goosebumps rising:

why does Snow send arrows into my meat
and fillet my good manners with every flake
and what kindness have I done, that Sun would feed me such sweet rays
from its strong beams
and how is it that Horse makes perfect sense to me...
