~this will win me no favors~I know~but then life ain't about a popularity contest despite what megamedia feeds its sheeple~ =)~ peace~

Shall I cheer with you over a body

screaming hallelujah

stamping my feet in crazy rhythm to the chanting

of the masses?

 

Shall I uplift my pain

and call it even

as I inflict agony upon another?

 

Shall I vindicate my righteous stance

by clawing up the grave of bones

bound inside the mother's womb?

you can cheer without me

as I take one more step back, into my hogan

away from the mad glee of mankind

as they blind themselves with another eye

for an eye

watching stars through my roof

as the whole world becomes

Dear angel of the concrete thinkers, I bow to the courage of your heart. How many nowadays are willing to question the revenge mentality of the human race. Not many. Do you remember a while back when you stepped between that man and the woman? You almost died that day. I believe what Erik said then. That one day you will get yourself killed for doing the right thing. And here, some will crucify you for your sincerity. F--- them. Some of us will die true to our conscience. Like I have tried to say and was met with opostion including opposing remarks from my own father:

So they stopped one man, obviously this guy has many followers and probably someone else more than willing to step up in take his place. There is a cycle that is going to be perpetuated and that is sickening.You lose a man, you get mad kill one of their men. They lose a man vice versa. It is sickening! violence begets violence.. Now we have to prepare for retaliation.. Death at the hands of man should never be celebrated.. Murdering people to prove murdering is wrong..Soon we all will be dead.

Amass the masses and blend them into soup...and you would starve on their lack of substantive mass. Hollow empty shells playing at childhood games of war...I think our parents called that being a poor sport when we rejoiced over another's loss...that's it America...no trophies for you now go sit in the penalty box. I'd rather be benched than celebrate a death as some sort of victory. Why didn't he get brought back for trial? Why didn't he have to stand before the American people and answer for his crimes? Carrying on in such foolery will not bring the dead to life, take away the pain or suffice as a symbol that this bandaid patch action means anything.

I digress. Great piece. Any thinking human being living in America likely feels the same way.
