Caution:Do Not OverSaturate~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
"

~a sigh is rarely just a sigh, ain't that so~

"

I never promised

you

a rose garden

The violets have grown wild

and the roses bend

to the voracious spirit

of the mud

coating ruby red

and poignant pinks

with rich

dark soil

I am just another little mother

with a thousand pinpoints of pain

thorns

for each stumble

the child takes

We wear them well

don't we

little mothers?

and yet

The children sometimes forget

that we have bled the same  blood

and watered our ash

with the same tears

tripped across the brambles

in the same sort of wild gardens

There is now a sign

rooted

at the entrance to my heart

where love

is unconditional

but no longer foolish

no longer pressed with guilt;

Caution:Do Not OverSaturate

I love this stanza though you are never just a mother... I lost mine four years ago but know I wouldn't be the man I am today with out her guidance and example of how to be. It is a vicious cycle how kids don't appreciate the parents till later on in life.

Oh, I can relate so well to that. Now with understanding and wisdom I feels a deep gratitude and love for my mother and to all mothers everywhere. They are indispensable and priceless and yet their foolish, 'all-knowing-kids' take them for granted.

a mother's love is a reward paid only in return when the kidlets realize their bloom was captured thru the sacrifice and patient awaiting ~ i was a spoiled daughter at one point in my life but as i got older - i value my mother so much more ~ friendships fade, and others just get busy - mother always there with her love waiting to be called on....we all sooner or later look for mom again the same way we needed her when she held us a little babies.

This is written from the heart of a mothering soul - poignant yet with a spine of steel. Sometimes the best lesson we can teach our children is that their mothers should never be taken for granted.

Well, to be truly scientific, you may over-saturate it a little more if you can continue raising the temperature, but as you cool down; all that love will crystallize as frozen teardrops:)

Enjoyed the perspective that only come though a deep observation of life!

A powerful poem. Today my kids are gone. The house is quiet. Now I miss the voices and the movement in the house. A woman job is never done. They must work and maintain a house. Not a easy thing to do.

I admit that I am one who forgets that you are a mother, being poked with the stinger you once used to irritate others. One of the many reasons I love to read your works is because they are small uncoverings that allow us to see through your skin, flesh, and bone, straight to the marrow that makes you uniquely dovely. I hope you never stop sharing your soul.
