The Casualty of Blue Eyes~

The Casualty of Blue Eyes~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Your blue eyes

remind me

of rare gems

dancing in a little red pocket

while the trees fell to their knees

and the wolf wiped flour from his muzzle

shake the rain water from coils of red hair

and red hope

The frown line

line of thoughtful men

pain line

a crucifix

an imprint

of lives dived deep and deeper

cross sectioning

strong bones;

some days I don't know how to process you

your beauty leaves me hungry

builds a horrid pressure

beneath the floating rib. . . .

Your blue eyes

remind my hands

how to covet . . . .

You have made me see "him" in an entirely new light.... as such a beautiful being should be seen and remembered... especially at a time like this.
"Trees fell to their knees and the wolf wiped flour from his muzzle"-- love that visual, that symbolism of something so profound and tragic in history. His beauty leaves me hungry as well
I love sitting at your feet and learning:) Thank you, my dovely.

I have been the victim of these eyes on a daily basis....if you see me lying in a heap upon the cold stone floor, panting beautiful metaphors as quickly as they come to mind...lend me your hand and we will travel the twelve steps to wholeness knowing full well we may never be the same. Awesome.

Shawn Renee has exposed the treasure within the beauty. I would have missed the most precious push of this subtle extraordinary poetic blessing if I hadn't read her review. You are a true artiste. A masterful puzzle girl for sure.

The frown line

pain line
a crucifix
an imprint

of lives dived deep and deeper

cross sectioning
strong bones;

The most beautiful subtle clue.

ah the blue eyes - this is shorter than your usual but certainly packs no less a punch!! I love the third stanza - the crucifix mark - imprint - the pressur eburning on bones and beneath the rib - such strong imagery! enjoyed as always!!

I love the sense of honesty here:

"some days I don't know how to process you
your beauty leaves me hungry
builds a horrid pressure
beneath the floating rib. . . .

This one is just simply remarkable

I have days like these too... The beauty of the beloved is sometimes too much to process. I just love this piece. Everything.

Beautiful words my friend, the eyes are the mirrors of the soul.

Somedays I scare myself too. They say we covet what we see everyday, and being in a world of sinners and mass media, we see everything everyday. A world full of people who want what everyone else has.

Then there are some who covet others....and their...presence, soul, salvation...but if there is something I know for sure...

It's all about the eyes.

Always,

Matthew

Charisma and charm can be powerful weapons... a mysteriously intoxicating poem... the ending leaves my head spinning, in a good way.

Beautiful feelings shared in a loving way. I like your view of this man it shows that men can be beautiful as well as handsome. The way you described his features of lines on his face was a nice touch made him seem as if he has a deep soul worth knowing. The last verse is perfection made me smile to read that!
