The Casualty of Blue Eyes~

The Casualty of Blue Eyes~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Your blue eyes

remind me

of rare gems

dancing in a little red pocket

while the trees fell to their knees

and the wolf wiped flour from his muzzle

shake the rain water from coils of red hair

and red hope

The frown line

line of thoughtful men

pain line

a crucifix

an imprint

of lives dived deep and deeper

cross sectioning

strong bones;

some days I don't know how to process you

your beauty leaves me hungry

builds a horrid pressure

beneath the floating rib. . . .

Your blue eyes

remind my hands

how to covet . . . .

You have made me see "him" in an entirely new light.... as such a beautiful being should be seen and remembered... especially at a time like this.
"Trees fell to their knees and the wolf wiped flour from his muzzle"-- love that visual, that symbolism of something so profound and tragic in history. His beauty leaves me hungry as well
I love sitting at your feet and learning:) Thank you, my dovely.

Bravo Ms. Selene Bravo!!! I absolutely love the last stanza...as someone who was blessed with blue eyes it spoke to me on so many levels but the last stanza will ever be imprinted into the recesses of my mind and heart...very very beautiful

The temptation of forbidden love, the pleasure of recoil and the yielding to the terrible. You have beautifully stated irrevocability of forbidden desire and those blue eyes - they get me every time...

touches heart with sorrow
touches soul with joy
humbles resoundingly...

oh my, that such searing emotion could possibly be inked. I bow to you.
