Your beauty had curled my existence into a bittersweet immortalness When you left, you held my heart Am I not dead? I remain present only in spirit, As I blend into the background In every scene. As everyone fellowships and engages in heartfelt laughter and friendly, warm smiles, I stay seated on this cold, metal chair... And imagine you. All that I’ve had is gone All that I’ve known is unfamiliar And since I only see you in dreams, I dread sun rise Awakening in a world in which you are non-existent will only diminish my will to live And if my fate holds a painful death, I am not afraid. For I have endured the most excruciating, unpleasant sensation my body and mind will allow. The day the most crucial component to my soul was stripped.. Never to be returned again.

There is no mistaking that seamless breath of eloquence and talent that flows from your veins to hers, but while my heart and soul is touched deeply by the kindred torch of Deme Legacy, it is Una's unique voice, palpable with her heart, that my ears drink as I find myself in that place that I alone forebear, upon my knees, on the edge of that abyss that I could have sworn only I knew was there... and yet, now I see her shadow, too~
Too many powerful words, made beautifully dark, and smitten by such an ache...
Little Sunshine creating her own universe... and I foresee the book...
It's lovely to see she clearly shares your talent! Such a deep and beautiful write. Carefully carved into the reader's heart as we're forced to pause and drink in each elegant image.
It was clear from the beginning that this was not you writing, for the rich imagery of your fertile mind is missing... but the poem conjures up a situation with realism and directness and makes its point - sadly
oh a powerful write!! the soul being torn from frame... never to be returned! strong words, and yes apple definitely doesn't fall far from the tree!! family of poets!! nice, nice!!
She is your daughter through and through. Her song is heart breaking. Her writing style is beautiful and pours itself from deep places inside the human soul.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, indeed. So goddesses run in the family?
She should know this is a very, very beautiful work, and very heartbreaking. It is the sum of all things the heart wants to avoid. I find it striking, the one bit of hope in it is being unafraid of dying because of what came before. Sad. Reminds me. Awesome work.
