Doing Time With Freud~Dreaming Jung Into The Mix

Doing Time With Freud~Dreaming Jung Into The Mix

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

I will pose on your velvet couch

sir

pin my limbs to the wood of the frame

before your magnified importance

as you attempt to dissect the inked Rorschach of my mind

my double face image

androgynous

in profile

my cobweb patterns in lace curves to bind

and hold together

the fragments of my character

We will fall with the rain

my umbrella, moth eaten

above your head

I gaze over your broad shoulders

wondering what sort of mind you are drawing for me

on your legal pad

so old school you are, sir

where is your iPad

and, your split bifocals are charming!

Back to the staircase

up and down in spirals

at every level the scent of madness

bodies made of candle wax

melt into the tip of your ball point pen

scribbling

a funhouse image

a merry go round

playing Modern English

and I melt with you

in the candle’s flame

There are decades buried in the marble of this old room

where I puddle my muddled thoughts

kick the bucket of mead into the shallow shadows

corners come alive

mythology opens its palms

rocks a lullaby out of the ivory

and yes

 I still have the cradle

that gave birth to little red riding hood

swaddled in crimson stains

warmed by a wolf’s muzzle

I will pose on your velvet couch

my body stitched together with lilacs

my mind pouring the perfume of violets into the room

and we will dance with madness

and trauma

climb the mountain to Dehera’chena’a’Mortuanis

where it all began

in a downpour of butterflies

I insanely say that sanity is so colorful in its adaptations, Freud's attempt to enter a mind within his addicted dazzle has given way to thoughts profound. Your Id is seductive in this piece...And I bet even Freud's coke couldn't climb him so high...

Great Write!

This is an amazing poem. I love the archetypes and small details cluttered everywhere in this work. This is absolutely brilliant!

Vivid are your images and the look into the mind of the person sitting with Freud was exquisite. It's a wonder he was able to write at all with her sprawled out on his couch. I don't know my take on therapy it is something I am not sure we really need, I mean we can talk to anyone! Another great write, I love your stories and your wonderful pen that inks these incredible works of art.

excellent imagery - nice play with the mind/ego - etc. The allure of a velvet couch, the encasement behind flowers, and shyness of a violets scent as it retreats, and the out pour of all the butterflies - from the metamorphisis beginning, really lovely. I enjoyed -

I thought that maybe the phrase "and, your split bifocals are charming!" could be moved up with the other description so that the Ipad didn't seem to interrupt the thought - it was more of an afterthought of the old school... if that makes sense:

I gaze over your broad shoulders

wondering what sort of mind you are drawing for me

on your legal not I pad
your split bifocals are charming!
so old school you are, sir

I don't know - I see why it's there too- I just like the bifocals in the whole description I think.

Your images are so powerful that i can't help but to give you standing ovation. This is utter beauty and melancholy.

Femininity painted vividly - assertive treat - a lovely mind and pretty write.

I enjoyed this write...I lean more toward Jung myself....beautifully composed and I could almost feel the coldness of the marble you spoke of....

Peace

creatively put into practice
this sat right down and relaxed us
under Freud's scope
a feat giving hope
in a Freudian psychobabble
but which this doesn't dabble
