Girl Off The Loom~Girl Born Of Clay

Girl Off The Loom~Girl Born Of Clay

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

I would hang my skin on a line

if the world would take a moment to listen to the sound

of creation on the wind

as it caresses the pleats of a young woman hanging by a thread

perhaps even bend out of ideals into possibilities

to rescue a torn dove

from the woodsman’s axe ready to chop the braided cord

from the apple tree

because hope is like a bridge between my shell

and the pulp of a leaf between the fingertips of a boy

shall he pluck it and make an arrow

or plant it between the ribs of a broken sun

as moon opens a blue eye

and the craters turn to ash tears

the bowl

in the palm of a weeping willow somewhere on the horizon

in gold reflection

I am just another painter in a blue robe

on a ledge

my balance between a seed

and an old clock with broken arms stuck on the arch of twelve diamonds

a red cross bone building my shoulders for a velvet kiss

for Dali’s fingertips drawing lips in ochre reds

down my spine

as I fold my everything into the keys of a piano floating

on a silver lake

where the Lady beckons from underneath the pebbles in the shallows

with a sword made of a dragon’s scales

Myth is sometimes as simple

as a girl hanging wash on a line

dreaming through the fabric

becoming pleats

under a sky made of words

where the book builds the world

Belief is a panoramic scene

with images flowing in ribbons of paint

between the fingers of a sculptor

and the girl brought forth from warm clay

ever...ever so beautiful Selene I am moved by the second to last stanza "...Sometimes a myth is as simple as a girl hanging wash on a line...." truly remarkable this gift you possess and I am always standing in awe of your genius ability to take words and use them in a way that is definately "outside the box" your ability to take a word and peel it...to break it open and eat of it as if it were a delicious fruit..to turn it upside down and inside out and pair them with other words in such clever and intensely beautiful descriptive patterns and plots is fascinating... and I am always reverent of your ability to take a normal cliche' and bust it wide open to scoop out the real meat...the real gem... the extraordinary pearl hidden in the ordinary mash -DannyLynne

pygmalionic conclusion - sometimes we search too much for myths when in reality we are those - but maybe we just need others' eyes to see that...

And what of this girl>>hanging on the hopes and dreams that is here by delicate closepins?>> Her ability to leave herself exposed to the air of the world is courageous to me>> revealing her beliefs>the fabric that is her>to an atmosphere that may not be so accepting>>
I shall contemplate the fate of such a myth>> such a belief>> because she is only as real as the potter sculpts her>>
As always, you vision takes me on a journey that the human eye anguishes to behold>> Love you, my dovely>>

I want to make me a woman out of warm clay....I am just afraid she won't like me...lol. Wow, this even more than some of your other writing is like being in a sensory depravation chamber and watching your life and the lives of others who have touched you float loudly through your thoughts.....amazing texture and a great read. You outdo every time....great writing.

"shall he pluck it and make an arrow?"

I will not forget this line. I am a stoner so that is amazing. Five 100/100 ratings have been given out by me, and three of those went to you. You truly impact my thought, which is almost impossible to do to me electronically.

really, you are an incredible writer. I am astounded. You words are unbelievably inspiring, the imagery is just...i'm speechless. I hope to possess a tenth of the talent that flows through your work someday.

In the history of language, there has never been anyone of the caliber of your talent, and there never will be... You are a one of kind gift to this world, in every word, deed, and thought, not just as a writer, but as the person who lives the convictions of the soul behind the words~

You are the art itself, my friend, everyone else, mere artists...

I'll be offline from the websites for a while; going to go away for a much needed vacation next month and I need to get things in order, but I so can't wait for the next book release.

Wishing all the best in all the world, always~ xoxox

as moon opens a blue eye. The whole poem was fantastic but this line is something I would want to remember always. Now that's poetry!

dreaming through the fabric

Only to you!! Really, the connections you make continue to astound me. once put down in your 'simple' myth, they make perfect sense, but it's like you reach into a cosmic grab bag and pull out a handful of images and concepts and say, 'yes, these work' and verily, they do!
Outstanding
