7 Ways To Peel A Soul~

7 Ways To Peel A Soul~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

In the beginning there was a hollow

an idea took root

in the ground

where

on the First Day she was created

watered

shaped into MudGirl

clay skin

given to CrowWoman

to imprint the calligraphy of imagination

around the waist

with which

on the Second Day

she flexed

through all sorts of weather

paradoxical sorbets

in cloud formations

dimensions where a man’s lapel

was altar

a man’s hand, eucharist

shaping her plum lips

for apple hearts

so  Eve’s Rib

could be torn from her side

and remanded to Jezebel’s hips

on the Third Day

of drops in silk

of forty veils

on ground to seed the blooms ahead

for Raspberry Girl’s basket

of a thousand poems

penned by age eight

carried to market

to market, to buy a peasant’s soul

to sustain the myth of coruscating blood

in blues

on a jet

screaming through the Fourth Day

where legend became lip gloss

and fables became hair dye in a bottle

boots laced to thighs

one of the Girls With Red Hair

On a Cherry Cadillac

With Bushido swords

coloring the world with yakuza blood

counting coup

on the sleeves of dead men

collecting silver cufflinks

for the hard collapse

on the Fifth Day

into the dirt

with onyx lens

confronted with a little dying

laughing at the guise of alms

reciting

“Styx and stones

will break a soul

and words will surely kill me”

magik girl

with magik words

scaled chakras in sequence

crawling from the Gutter

Into The Jewel of The Lotus

on the Sixth Day

came out the other side of fate

arching the Surreal Stalks

and Times of A Gutter Girl

in musical notes

in black and white

keys

opening the scales

of an old piano

in a glade

where Pan waited

with her Pandora’s box

and here she drew a scroll from her waist

imprinted with the Seven Layers Of The Soul

Pouring Ink

Bleeding Onyx

until all the letters took to ground

to flood the forest with violets

her little feet and hands clutching

the sides of the box

of her Pandora

open lid

Pan’s fingertips light on her back

easing the journey

into the velvet interior

where she curled inside a shell

and on the Seventh Day

she rested

Wow!!! - where on earth (well I guess not earth) do you come up with these things?!! powerful, creative, the story certainly doesn't "ease" as we end - a true delve into the depths of mysticism, and around the edges of surreality and dreams, and into the box itself!! just wow!!

Here's a wordful of Woman, of She .. inside out and outside in from the day dot and using phrases that only you can create. Nothing's hidden, this is female macrocosm. Brilliant

Like no other could do it lol
Selene, this is stunning!
The female in many forms, the embracing of mystical aura, I am definitely in awe, I truly mean that love!

your title..magical..autobiographical? written in only the way you could, weaving words that just shouldn't bond..slapped into shape by your imaginative fingers..

Wow that was like a roller coaster rider through the many layers one person has... the deeper we got the more intriguing they became. Impressive work.

I love the title! This spotlights each of your books in a very clear and clever way. The life & times of Viktoria, the Bible of you, I do see the parallels to being on the edge of Earth and Hell, at times. What an incredible gift you have, Selene. My hope is that your rest will fuel your fire to write more and more. The way you view the world is as unique as you are. You continue to glow =D

Wow is the right word! This is dense and so deep, I love how such simple verse evolved into such a profound, powerful work. Great job, really amazing.

i guess it is really your own journey...but when represented so colorfully it seems like the sacred scrolls of a previously unknown apostle, bringing us the scriptures of the mother, daughter and a whole different version of...YOU! Who ever said there was anything wrong with excessive delecto-argoticism!!

I always enjoy how you peel back the many layers of womanhood in your poems, taking us on a journey deep into the feminine mystique... it's not always a pretty sight, but beauty has many faces.

Superb
