Love's Bucket~A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
There was a tiny little girl born in a back alley somewhere in a contraction of time when god forgot to pay attention for this one crucial moment that may change the world and that’s a big maybe and really not likely and probably not but let's imagine and believe for a moment She came in on a tide of whispers and not blood settled light as a breath into crumpled up newspapers inside a bucket of Love because love isn't always in heart cutouts and greeting cards sometimes it is carved into the side of a plastic bucket that no one notices until SHE walks by looking for dreams to feed her lens The tiny girl could have lain there for an eon not being bound by god's rules since IT hadn’t notice her to begin with and was busy besides, picking apart a satellite and causing all kinds of mischief surfing the milky way but . . . . SHE strolled by paused the toe of her boot captivated by a discarded doll in a powder blue dress long eyelashes little arms torn out long ago by a child's enthusiastic embrace HER lens pulled the doll through into its sweet chamber and then SHE saw the bucket and the bucket said Love's and from inside the bucket of love a tiny girl no bigger than a lotus blossom peered over the edge periwinkle eyes like saucers and SHE marveled but didn't question because SHE saw much more than her lens often times wished the lens would eat the realness of the unreal and spread it in black and white precision across those billboards taken up by ideals of beauty that caused so many problems for young women who weren't the perfect size 0 SHE bent over the bucket of love smiled and HER smile was the kind of smile that could truly and really save a world if it bothered to pay attention which it rarely did and too bad for the world The tiny girl pulled herself up on the edge of the bucket smiled back "I remember you." sang the girl SHE opened her palm and this tiny little blossom of a girl climbed into its center took up residence along HER love line because that's where she was remembered and this is why SHE loves like SHE does In a back alley somewhere in a contraction of time roses have decided to bloom and caterpillars have come to weave their cocoons inside a plastic bucket that belonged to love; and god played in the milky way deciding which worlds to shake up make up while a stream of butterflies swam out of silken cocoons and lifted a plastic bucket into the air spilling love across a brocade of souls and making atoms dizzy in a storm of wings as SHE uncurled her long fingers and HE stepped through the atmospheric threads which were busy doing sparkly things and kissed HER love line understanding everything and thank goodness a god was off playing somewhere in a galaxy far far away and didn't notice ~Two miracles. . . . there are many more. . . . just waiting for you to happen~
