Cerulean China~A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPoleFor the Chartre blue plate Geisha carved a hummingbird from a saffron pear; Thick daffodil syrup cambered her wrists This cyan morning She left a trail of succulent evidence On the cutting board A rattle of poppies spilling cerulean seeds On the viridian tiles Moist Prussian blue lips Above the steam Coiling from the tea cup Sapphire liquor Reflecting her peacock eyes She carried the tray Through the mahogany doorway Where forty lashes were a vacation His heave ho A totter in folds of skin Her samurai gone to rot In dice games with the cobalt eyes She folded her knees Teal dew on her eyelashes Poured cerulean china Into each ammonite cup She left a trail of succulent evidence In the burgundy blood That poured itself from each orifice Of each amethyst demon Behind a mahogany door Where forty lashes were a vacation
