Cerulean China~

Cerulean China~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

For the Chartre blue plate

Geisha carved a hummingbird from a saffron pear;

Thick daffodil syrup cambered her wrists

This cyan morning

She left a trail of succulent evidence

On the cutting board

A rattle of poppies spilling cerulean seeds

On the viridian tiles

Moist Prussian blue lips

Above the steam

Coiling from the tea cup

Sapphire liquor

Reflecting her peacock eyes

She carried the tray

Through the mahogany doorway

Where forty lashes were a vacation

His heave ho

A totter in folds of skin

Her samurai gone to rot

In dice games with the cobalt eyes

She folded her knees

Teal dew on her eyelashes

Poured cerulean china

Into each ammonite cup

She left a trail of succulent evidence

In the burgundy blood

That poured itself from each orifice

Of each amethyst demon

Behind a mahogany door

Where forty lashes were a vacation

Your soul has root tendrils reaching out in all directions drinking of the non-duality tha surrounds us. Maya clouds not your eyes as you seek out and grasp the next word for each line. Camber? Really? Your mind amazes me. The rich texture of colors painted reminds of the geisha dress but contrasts with the white and red on her face. The raw emotion and punch in the gut we get from the line where forty lashes was a vacation and the trail of burgundy blood... Sometimes I get exhausted by the end of one of your poems (in a good way mind you) this was definitely one.
Brava!

oh yes!! your vocabulary always makes me smile - but it's all so natural - never forced! just brilliant poetry as always - you must bore of this ha but it's all we can say!! the story here is dipped into a plethora of emotions - the evidence in the blood - sapphire liquor (which so fits the picture) - nice, nice, nice!!

brilliant choice of vocabulary throughout the entire piece.. this flows wonderfully. I feel as if I'm looking at a world through a window stained blue and each image is bleeding into the next.

Bold jewel colours. How did I miss this one? :-)

This was not fingerpainting. This was sculpting, carving, brushing, sanding, buffing, and glazing with a streaming array of colors. Took my breath away. *Looking at the feature review*-- David thinks he's so wise. I oughtta *censore* his *censore* until he *censore*'s out of his *censore* for upstaging us. No wonder Dinesh picks fights with him.

When I find myself scouring my mind of images that make me feel, I know I'm into it. I hope to read more...
