Pan’s Puzzle(d) Girl~A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole
night my body curves over in crescent white feet dream a pool of liquid ink stained pulling me deep
obsidian spiral on a note of your lute across a meadow crushed petals down on all fours girl as puzzle in your arms such an old little look in her eyes such an odd little purse to her lips this meadow of my fragments me long beyond screaming begging like once I did offering my diamond earrings in exchange for my soul I’ve stopped running yet find myself whispering run! run! and she turns her eyes (my eyes, once blue, did you know) to me and says "You are Pan's girl as puzzle." Pan smiles above her shoulder he winks my woman plumes apart says "I saved you through a thousand and one nights." the girl laughs in shivers Pan’s large hands against the small of her tiny shell back . . . . ink writes me a curve in calligraphy across today's canvas desperate to save the future from the past
