Patchwork Girl~A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole~ smile~when the girl first came to him she was a patchwork quilt of discarded gems broken heroes dripping off her fingertips a little bit tarnished a little bit famished plum lips pursed diamond back edged by the framework of wings she said “Teach me detachment. My chakras are aligned for nirvana. Enlighten me. she was certainly a piece of work each day he took his quill dipped it into the sun and drew a feather for her sad wings each night he asked the moon for a piece of chalk and outlined her soul against the velvet sky when the girl left him she was a patchwork quilt of iridescent peacock feathers stars dripping from the corners of her eyes a little bit shiny a little bit reflective plum lips pursed for a kiss wings spread like a bough above them both she said “Thank you for teaching me attachment. My chakras are alive in the jewel in the lotus. Nirvana.” she was certainly a piece of work © 2010 NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPoleFeatured Review
