Ripples~

Ripples~

A Poem by NoneOfYourBusiness akaKITTY KUTABAREakaCandyPole

Softly

drop

the bead of love

into a heart

watch the eddies

ripple

outward

With care

place

the pebble of empathy

into the cup

of a palm

watch the bearer

join it

to another hand

Gift

awareness

in a kiss

brushed gently

across the eyes

watch the world

abound

in vision

Softly

drop the bead of love

into the center of the flower

watch the petals

unfurl

replicate

until the earth

supports

a meadow

of blossoms

yes...pass it on...i once heard a story about a man who came upon a village...it was winter...the village was essentially poor...and hungry...he knocked upon a door and asked if the occupants had a large cooking pot for he had a magic stone that would feed the whole village...of course...there was no harm in the facilitation of this man's apparent madness...and so the pot was fill with water and fired up in the centre of town...it was night...and townsfolk all came from their homes to see what this was all about...the man announced that he had a magic stone and with it he would feed the entire village...he asked that each villager bring a small food item...a piece of meat...some herbs...a vegetable or two...for then the magic stone would best work its miracle...and so it was that everyone in the village contributed to the magic housed within the stone that turned an empty pot into a feast and the village rejoiced in knowing that they were not so hungry after all...i probably could have described it better and more elaborately Selene...but the bottom line is that this serene and beautifully motvated piece captured the remembrance of this story...again...i thank you...

I am not sure how I missed this one, I think this is a very good cause as some of you know. I only wish I would have seen this sooner. Excellent work.
