tales from The Cherry Cadillac~

I took her hand

she felt like me

warm

alive

mischief in her lovely eyes

pulled her through

against my heart

her pulse in mine

we unstrung time

our paint on fingertips

sublime

painting in a desert road

two souls entwined

on roads of prose

cherry Cadillac

there

purring

invitation

smiles

a yearning

 

we moved like water

desert sand

in ochre reds

the mind expands

behind the wheel now

speed and heat

laughter

lips

the music beats

into our feet

tapping out

rhythms

blooms in flare

buds sprout

in air

outside

in

myth unbound

 

breathing rain

eating every solar flare

break it here

on idle ground

canyon walls

mustang bound

humbled at the feet of Eve

through our Lilith interweaved

together now

on beaded spine

mesa in the distance

rise

hooves in prints

herd

grinding sins

her arms around my waist

she sings

 

dismount

I catch her in my dreams

so close now here

in lush reprieve

at hand

we stand

a tree in bloom

snakes in branches

sins in plumes

I pluck a fruit

the origins of sin

now mute

a hush

on her cheeks

cherry blush

between our lips

the apple red

her mouth

against its body pressed

and I in turn bow for a taste

unwinding scales from every snake

sweet

and liquid

chins pearled nectar

eyes wide open

eden in rewind

reopened
