Anatomy Of Obsession~

~the new victims of a cyberage~

 

it begins in the eyes

the pupils dilate

pixels

visual ingest

reform her image

smoke curls between ruby lips

stiletto reds

he renames her

Lust. .. .

she  gets a vibe like air pressure shifts

when the plane throws herself into the clouds

 

 

it hits the belly like a hollow

she fills him

she empties him

his mouth sucking air

email slips of the tongue

he feeds on every word

fist in between his hips

blaming her

for his gluttony. .. .

she feels patterns unwinding

his mind a splatter of convulsions on her screen

 

he induces an illusion

screaming at her still photo

trailing her lines

shrieking against her strike through attention streaming

outward in selfless columns

caught in the noose of his unbalanced greed. . . .

she catches the scent of rabid blood

her fingertips shaking above “delete”

 

a momentary pause

his weeping sentences

lethargic

self pity a tattoo in his fingertips

he strings himself a hammock

in sloth . . . .

she  is watchful, wary

the silent predator being the most frightening

she knows their scent intimately

 

in the morning

caffeine in his blood

arrogance shifting a primal in bold

he strikes

with a literary knife

dipped in pride . . . .

she closes the email

waits in an uncertain collection of memories inlaid

with the patterns of madmen

 

he

crazed by her silence

by her apparent disregard

draws a new plan of accusations

profanity

degradation

threats

he is a master

a monster in the making called envy . . . .

she

with a small tremble in the hands

closes one window and opens another

clicks forward

hits send

it streams like a ribbon of blood and pain

 

sometimes it begins in the eyes

and sometimes

it ends in wrath . . . .

“but not this time”

says the man with strong hands

reading over her shoulder

taking in the venom

the handle of the gun at his waist

a brush of comfort against her shoulder as he moves

and clicks

I love how the seven deadly sins or intertwined in this frightening story of a predator and his prey. The imagery, the use of the words, and the flow of it is just absolutely wonderful.
