A Love Note To Angels

musings

I remember the whisper of wings.

I remember the whisper of sand

and the whisper of silence.

I picked your feathers from my hair

and your bones out of the mesa.

God said,

"If you have enough love to stitch them back together

I will bring them back to Heaven."

I am still working on that.

On having enough love

to raise the angels

from the sand

glistening

at the base

of second mesa.
