Imaginary

Imaginary

A Poem by Autumn de Rue

Grass beneath my feet
Velvet on my skin

Sky above my head
Satin in the wind

A breeze along the land
Cold leather on my cheeks

Gray of the school walls
Rough upholstery rows

Graphite scratches on desks
Thin mesh on my hand

Hard tile under my feet
Pleather rough on flesh

Close my eyes and fly
Away on a soft sigh

I like it. The couplets are like thoughts, drifting around. I like the transition from peaceful daydreams to harsh reality and slightly back again. Great imagery, too. Nice write :)

Well, hello there. I'm Autumn de Rue I'm not one for introductions. Whatever I say comes out awkward and jumbled like Alphabet Soup, so I ought to let my writings speak for me. more..
