Not Exactly Love

Not Exactly Love

A Poem by Autumn de Rue
"

Something originally about silence soon turned into a short poem on the give and take of a relationship that isn't quite perfect

"
A falling of sorts into dangerous terrain
So lovely at first until you join the game
Of manipulation and whispered secrets
A pain only ever broken by brief moments of bliss
It's your own choice if all of it is worth it
But maybe loneliness is better than this ache

Autumn de Rue
If it sounds like I've never been in a relationship, it's because I haven't.

By reading this I would never be able to tell that you've never been in a relationship, doll.
It's spot on. It's simple. It works. Love it.
