Lucky

Three years ago it happened to be one of the best days of my life. You came into my life when I needed you most. I named you Lucky so you would remind me every day when I wake up why I am so blessed. You were my lifesaver after being sick and at home for more than half a year. You were just a baby and for me a dream came true. I knew immediately that it was you or no one. You got me out of bed and together we learned to go for short walks outside. I remember how exhausted I was after only a few meters and how scared you were to leave the house. You had already experienced so much in Russia and needed someone to pep you up again. You brought all the joy back into my life. You gave me a reason to keep fighting. Whenever I was sad, you were there to cuddle with me. When I didn't want to leave the house, it was you who dragged me out. Without the worst time of my life, I would not have met you, the best friend of my life. Everyone was against welcoming you into our life, but I didn't care. You were everything I ever wanted and I don't regret it one day. You are no ordinary dog, but I am no ordinary owner either. I love you.
