Nowadays, the emancipation of women is becoming an ongoing concern. Frequently, at least in European regions, men twist their eyes in this respect and make it appear that this topic is receiving too much attention. But that is not the case at all! Women still find themselves very vulnerable in their everyday lives, not only in faraway countries, such as Saudi Arabia or India, where women are treated like trash. Also, in European countries, the discrimination of women is still very much apparent. Women are financially disadvantaged, often have to sacrifice their careers as they are still considered the primary caretakers in the family, have to take discriminatory gestures and remarks, and live in fear much more often than men. Thus, it is even more important for the modern woman to raise her voice and be even stronger and more self-confident. Women should also support each other much more than pulling each other down by the hair through teasing and bullying. Still, far too many women suffer domestic violence, are beaten, sexually, and verbally abused, and publicly humiliated. Many women still do not dare to defend themselves due to the fear that they will not survive it or that it will only worsen the situation. Although there are now support hotlines that cannot be traced on the telephone bill, women's refuges, and various other support networks, women must first summon up a great amount of bravery and strength to make use of them. For example, in Italy in 2019 in every 72 hours, a woman died from domestic violence, and 3 out of 4 female homicides were committed at home by a man they knew before or who had been their husband. Another study states that in America, for example, every 6 minutes, a woman is raped (feel free to write me a message for references). The number of unreported cases is perhaps much higher. This shows that even in countries where women seem to be mostly equal, this is not the case, neither professionally nor privately. Looking at the number of violence cases against women in more faraway countries, the numbers are far higher, and the acts of violence against women are even more cruel. Dear men, the next time you are annoyed because an emancipated woman demands equal rights, just look at the crime rates worldwide. Please compare the gender-specific categories. Consider yourself how much your own mother or any other woman you love has already had to put up with. It is not only the supposed great deeds that women undergo, but it is also a pat on the bottom, a boss who demands a certain favor or simply the fear of walking down the street in the dark. Don't laugh at women who dare to raise their voices because this is long overdue, and you should support this while thinking of your own grandmother, mother, wife, and daughters!
