your way

this is for the picture contest, i saw the picture, and thought of lying at first, but then that's what came out, hope you like it

as time pass by, everything will go away

leaving a mark, that will hurt everyday

cry in silence, shush, no one should hear the weep

then wipe your tears, tell no one it hurts so deep

don't ask why; they say,  it's not your place to ask

running will make it worse, they can always bring you back

 thinking you have it all, knowing nothing of the truth

judging you because you smile, while you hid away your bruises

stop, you don't have to run away

it's your right to ask, and not their place to tell you what to say

don't you care about what they think, it's your choice to leave or stay

close your eyes, and sing your last lullaby as you simply walk away

then turn, give them that smile they hate, and let them say what they say

and never cry in front of them, keep that pain hiding in that sweet smile

your always  stronger without them, that's why it's called your way

This is a strong piece and its quite inspiring in a way.
Its filled with emotion and depth and has strong meaning.
This wasn't about domestic violence was it? A part of me feels it is, but I'm not really sure.

no it is not about domestic violence, but it is for those who are afraid that if the speak they'll get hit or rejected or something, so they keep quiet all the time, it is to show them that they deserve to live however they want and say whatever they want,to show them that someone trust they'll make the right choice and they'll be perfect
