Sofie

Sofie

A Poem by Pól

Sofie whimpers
from her bed
close to mine.
Bad dreams
splinter her rest
as i speak
words of comfort
reasurance,
that she is safe.
She does not hear
and yet
the crying stops.

This is sweet, I also have a puppy that does this. He's a little ginger terrier of some sort, I had him as a baby and I left ireland at the age of 18, so when I moved back to london and was settled my mum gave him back to me. He's precious to me, my piece of home.

I like the poem in general, evokes our sense of hearing and the imagery is quite powerful. I'll definitely look for more of your work.
