The light

The light

A Poem by Pól

A tortured soul

resless of spirit

fleeting thoughts

and frequent regrets

simmer and stew

and suddenly boil

as you ponder a life

Spent

pursuing nonsense

ignoring what's real

to extinguish the light.

I really like the structure of this writing. There's a lot of power and emotion in its compactness.
