We threeA Poem by PólI put pen to paper, torn old, frayed, tattered as I struggle in vain to find words that will express my love, eternal my devotion, utter to you both and the void I feel since you left me and departed this mortal coil.
Saw you first pushing your bike through Omaígh town of a warm summer's eve a vision of lovliness as you brushed the hair from your face the long blond trestles reflecting the sunlight swaying, caressing your shoulders and I loved you from that moment.
And I loved you completely as we completed each other 'til the emperialist, tired of defeat sacrificed a pawn and he, perhaps with heavy heart carried out the evil deed and I watched, helpless and held your hand as the final breaths, you took and kissed you one last time. Adieu.
I saw you second as you strode so confidant into my life your presence shining the brightest light where darkness had reigned and I looked into your face that tender, lovely face and your soul, bare and I knew I had found love again.
And I loved you completely as we completed each other 'til that fool full of courage, Dutch ripped you from my embrace stole your gracious life and i wept in despair that I had not been there to comfort you as you passed. Adieu.
And now 't is you who chat and laugh and while away the hours as I wish away my life longing for the day when we three re-united will be ... forever.
