A cocktail of sin

A cocktail of sin

A Poem by Pól

A translucent hush

descends,

demanding silence.

Clouds upon the water stall

as droplets fall

scorching earth

burning eyes

augmenting the broth.

With the longest ladle

he sups between his friend

and the deep blue sea,

whilst braking hearts

and the wheels of the cart

as the mad lady protests

her innocence, obscured

in the fading light.

A random fusion

of celestial dust

remnants of distant stars,

that coalesce;

A recipe for evil.

Greed and charity mix

as he blends

oil and water

in a cocktail of sin.

is it a sin to want to taste that broth? interesting piece... innocence vs sin, random fusion of celestial dust mixing with the evil, is it saying that we are fated for this cocktail, can't escape the power of the stars, it's what made us... maybe everything has an element of sin, greed and charity combined...

Hey Paulo thought you had run off somewhere! Like this it is a very well written poem in terms of the flow and pace and it captures the mysteries of an underworld where evil and sin co-exist.
