Crescendo

Crescendo

A Poem by Pól

I wait and ponder

how long it will be

before the crescendo

descends on me.

Stars in the night

luminous and bright

set out my path

to redemption.

Will I take that road

that furrowed lane

or will I bury

my hopes so deep.

The darkness falls, silence reigns

and the demons rise

drawing their talons

sensing the kill.

Just wanna say- you have very different sense of writing. A good different. It's refreshing. Kind of like face wash for the brain. (Which, in turn, would be brainwash, which is a total contridiction of itself.) I enjoy your poems.

Anytime. :P
Wow Paulo, I love your use of language. Often people seem to truncate their poetry and it becomes difficult to read but you write in fluid pasages and it flows so well and just draws you from line to line in one easy smooth movement. this is a self reflective sort of piece, well described as I could feel the tension and anticipated trepidation.
