An English Rose

An English Rose

A Poem by Pól

Pale white tender petal

frees itself from your celestial beauty

floating gently to the ground

lush and wet with rain.

A flower so tender,

a rose so vibrant.

Plucked

from an English garden

and transported across the widest Ocean

to a new world

five thousand miles away.
