Kicking Celestial Dirt

Kicking Celestial Dirt

A Poem by Pól

Here I stand

at heaven's gate

pondering; should i knock

or walk away

as I have done

so many times before.

My mind wanders

to that first kiss

heart pumping terror through my veins

receding, as tears of joy

ran down your face

and fell to your feet.

thanks
I like the setting you put this in, it gave great insight to your feelings. The division between the two sections is perfect for the way it reads; an excellent poem.

Tá fáilte romhat!
Emotion of fear and joy captured in such a short space. Good use of meter in pacing the piece. Liked it and felt some emotion in it. Often the best poetry comes from an instantaneous thought or feeling.
