The Night Falls

As the night falls and the curtain is drawn,

Stars light the sky and the moon takes its celestial place,

The sun retires and the day gives way,

The world sleeps…or so it seems….

Chaos enraptures, encircles…

The innocent lie while evil lurks,

Nightmares and shadows…

The quiet roams the earth while we dream…

For this night I’ll lay my head to sleep,

But another day…another day I’ll never see…
