The fire burns deep within, and my tale begins again, to and fro this world I stray, battles fought to women’s dismay, mothers and children cry out, for fathers and sons lost without, without the chance to say goodbye, steel on steel conveys no lie, truth beholden to conflicts waged, death will visit many this day, while kings and generals sit upon horses, my sword cuts down those emboldened, warrior to warrior, some young, some old, my tales end with death so cold, the ground awaits for those who dare, the reaper comes with hell's glare, the commoner pays the king's wages, for the blood of the brave writes history’s pages…
