Goodnight

Goodnight

A Poem by SophiaKathleen

Soundly leading away,
The thousand temperate play,
In each and of itself, I lead,
Your constants press on me,
Do I look as pretty as your mirror image?
Darling I drown myself in your visage,
Beauty, Beauty, and my Beast,
Am I forever your lesser counter-piece,
Your eyes so stellar, marked by wide,
I leave mine guarded, timely, narrow-side,
My body is under constant gaze,
Of the unhappy narrows my face paints,
I am the pedantic tailor Ana made,
The bloody construction of substance saved,
My violent friend beats my weakness,
Bruises my skin from lack of leasts,
Nothing, Nothing and the Beast,
Nothing, Nothing and the brute,
Nothing, Nothing and the least,
Nothing, Nothing and the root
Crass, cruel and at times emphatic,
Demon, plague, exorcist, metastatic,
Terror and trials neglect the truth,
Break the body, tear the tooth,
Nothing, Nothing I am free,
Something, Something broken me,
Touching temperature in denial,
Lovers lain only little while,
My bed wasn't meant for longer stays,
My body bent not bonded in forays,
Viscous circles spin my will,
Nothing to fear except breath spilled,
Goodnight, good riddance, good quiet pain,
Goodnight goes again my constant refrain.
