Perfect days

Just think of all the smiles

All the perfect times

All the places in your head

You hide when life gets hard

Just think about that day

When the sun hung up in the sky

While we walked and we talked

And we joked and we laughed

And we hugged and held hands

And promised never to end

Just think of all the times

You wished you could just stop

Hit pause on the world and live forever in that day

I wish I could hit rewind and go back to those days

Hide away from this life and just stay in this place

This growing up, it’s harder than I thought

We were smiling yesterday now your fading away

Into the past along with the golden age

And I look to tomorrow and I know I

I’m going to have to say goodbye

Again to another friend

And we’ll promise to stay in touch

But with all the problems we face

It just gets too much

So I'll see you on the street and I'll smile

And you'll wave

And we’ll both turn away

Thinking about those perfect days

So I just want to press pause

And live in the now

No worries for tomorrow

No need to think of yesterday

And as the clouds move in

And the sky turns grey

We can just press rewind

And live forever in this day

This is really good! It reminds me sooo much of Eclipse, when Bella stopped talking to Jake, and they both remembered how much they missed each other. Awesome job Shane!
