this is 'nightmares' but i edited it, so if you can read nightmares too, tell me which is better, which i should keep thanks shane =]

The Nightmare Continues

I feel a snap in my neck as I try to turn

I feel the flames grow higher, I’m starting to burn

All I want to do is to see you

I want to see you burning too

As our bodies break down and turn to ashes

I feel so free as my spirit rises

I feel the light calling out to me

Faint but getting stronger slowly

As I look at you I see the darkness

Spreading from your heart to cover your soul

You’re rising up, forming from smoke

Leathery wings starting to grow

Teeth like swords and your breath tells of death

Worse than that; non-existence

I scream out loud for my body to die

Let the flames engulf me

Let me fly

The safety of the light starts to fade

The calling song ceases to play

As I feel your grip around my neck

Tearing my soul like talons on flesh

Pulling me close I begin to retch

As the stench fill my nose

I pray for the end

Your jaw snaps shut I feel the slice

And I wake up, the sweat burning my eyes

I laugh at myself to hide the scream

I open the window to clear my thoughts of the dream

I feel a snap in my neck as I try to turn

I feel the flames begin, I'm starting to burn

The scream releases a primal terror this time

Close to tears as I open my eyes

I lay there panting in fear and shame

Am I awake this time or is it starting again

The endless terror

The nightmare continues...

I love how it was a story in poetic form, and a good one at that. You put in alot of description that really portrayed the feelings and the scene. Great job :)
