armageddon ver.2A Poem by shanea re-written pieceArmageddon (updated) Just to find out why I left my friends I reach behind the couch to grab my body again Dusting down the cuts and scars It’s been so long since I last walked this path Nostalgic feelings welling up inside Telling me ‘you only thought it was bad’ The stitches on my wrist whisper: ‘Which of us will you believe?’ Armageddon: coming soon Heavens calling out my name Will you join me? I am waiting Slowly fading I am sorry I remember every scar, I named them after you, The silky whisper cutting deeper As I thought of you She drove me out, Drove me insane, For her I leave the shattered pieces Gathered from my chest Mend it if you wish But stay the hell away from me Tonight Armageddon: coming soon Heavens calling out my name Will you join me? I am waiting Slowly fading I am sorry I am leaving It's the end of this world, Burn this body, cut and broken Watch as all the memories gather in flames Say your goodbyes To the cuts and scars Time to start again Rising from the ashes Born again © 2009 shaneAuthor's Note
