These are the words of a man still viewing life through the eyes of a boy

The fire died inside his heart too long ago

Dreams of this and that lost in amongst the chaos

Dreams of you and me crushed inside your palm

I worry about life but want to get so bad so bad

 

I'm still dreaming I think

I must still be dreaming

This isn’t how I ever imagined I would be

Gray eyes stare out to the world

Once they were blue

Once they were alive

 

I found a cure but it only brought more sickness

I found love but it only broke my heart

Now I've stopped looking

I'm not looking for anything

I thought I was lost before I found you
