Night MaresA Poem by deadly healerits a poemThis can't happen. I mean I see you, but you're lying. Noone can be like you. Noone hides in darkness watching dying souls as time passes. You can't see past the eyes of human faces. You can't read their mind or hear the lies.
One day I can finally learn to walk on my own. I'll be in a dark corner. Waiting for you, hearing stone crack as heat destroys precious road. I'll be waiting for you to tell you that I exist. I see
Every little night mare. Your troubles. Your fears. Mine are those eyes who haunt you child years. Watch as my eyes turn red. I am that monster hiding under your bed.
I am of those deadly creepers who live for flesh. Come quickly and face your weakness. Shhh..... I will be just a minute. If you sleep good, You won't feel a thing or hear the dark blood.
It's rushing out of you. Now say I don't exist. My time is worth the taking, but is it worth the risk? You see, my soul is precious, like yours, I'm trying to survive my way of life. So hold still, I will help you fly.
I'll give you wings and happiness. This can't be happening. I am not real. I don't exist. You will not die, because you know you can hurt me. You are kind and thoughtful. Maybe this night mare won't come true. © 2010 deadly healerAuthor's Note
